About Me

Hi dear reader,
I am a 24 year old French, I grew up in Bordeaux in the south west of France (delicious wine!) and studied in Paris and specialized in applied mathematics. I then moved to London to work for a big new tech company for a bit more than a year. I then met three awesome backpackers who made me realize it was time for me to go travel around the world! I quitted my job and here I am, ready for adventures!

In November I plan on going back to Paris to start a PhD program in applied mathematics (I work on machine learning, which is sort of like artificial intelligence).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As part of my trip, I really want to meet a lot of new people, couchsurfing is a great way to meet awesome people who know the local life and can help me getting the most of the places I visit as well as learning about the local culture. It is also a great way to get beer buddies!

Interests

I enjoy anything that is food or red wine related, I like to go climbing and hiking, discovering new people and new cultures, dancing for hours to techno music! I also really like just staring at everything that I encounter, people, places, nature, I always feel like a baby, very curious and amazed by anything!
One thing I really enjoy doing in a foreign country or even in my own is just to walk around in a random location of a city and observe all the local life.

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorite movies: Bridges of Madison county, Spirited away and many more!
Books: Hyperion by Dan Simmons, Christiane F, a confederacy of Dunces.
Music: a lot of different things, from classical music (Madama Butterfly), Jazz (Tigran) and techno music (Laurent Garnier)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Deciding over a weekend to quit my job to go travel!
Also I went for the first time to Burning Man which was a completely mind blowing experience.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share some advice on French red wine, I'm always down to discuss anything, like imagining crazy dystopia, my previous travels or just discuss our philosophy in life. I am usually full of energy and happy with whatever events happen. I will more than gladly invite you for a few beers and I can also try to cook for you, although I'm not the best cook around!
If you have any computer problem, I might be able to help with it :)
