Overview
About Me
I'm a 27 year old master student in the area of philosophy of language, logic & semantics. I work for an academic bookstore in the centre of Amsterdam, and like to read and collect books. The other half of my time I work as a copy editor for a major Dutch newspaper. When not at work, I typically spend my afternoon cooking Persian stews. I am currently somewhat pursuing a career as a writer/essayist/editor.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Music, Movies, and Books
Novels: W.F. Hermans, J.J. Voskuil, Jorge Luis Borges, lots and lots more.
Music: Anything ranging from baroque to tribal goa, and seventies Persian funk to doom metal.
Movies: Close Up (Kiarostami), anything Lars von Trier, documentaries on mathematics and philosophy.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Get to meet Martha Nussbaum who told me not to read Heidegger.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Food. The not-shit Amsterdam experience, consisting NOT of weed, hookers, partying and all the kinds of things that make us inhabitants despise tourists. Discussions on philosophy, semantics, politics, and all the other subjects I have a firm opinion on. First order predicate logic. Unfortunately I can't host due to a simple lack of space (we pretty much live in match boxes).
