About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to keep an aloe plant alive for more than a month

ABOUT ME

Hi ho! I'm a student, based at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, studying a bit afield in Massachusetts for the summer. I have curly hair and it seems it and I are in a constant battle-I'd like to think I'm often the victor, but time and time again, it shows me its strength. We'll see though...

PHILOSOPHY

I think going into the world with a non-judgmental attitude and open mind is incredibly difficult and incredibly important. I strive to do this every day.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Not a whole lot quite yet-when I get back to Madison, WI in August I'd be more than happy to meet for coffee or show people around or just be good company or whatnot.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Vamos a ver...

Interests

I like to listen to music and go to modern art exhibits and swim and think about stuff (but those are just some of my hobbies). I also greatly enjoy traveling-I've had the amazing luck to visit quite a few countries and am visiting several more in the coming months. ¡Qué suerte!

Music, Movies, and Books

As of late, one of my favorite authors is David Sedaris. Really, he's wonderful. Philip Roth is another I find so very funny (if not insanely repetitive from novel to novel...ah well). Another favorite is "Zami," by Audre Lorde.
As for music, I quite like Spinner's MP3 of the Day...what can I say, electro-pop moves me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seen: a 70-foot effigy burned to the ground in under an hour.
Done: hopped with a kangaroo.

Teach, Learn, Share

I sort of know how to crochet. And I once (long, long ago) played the baritone horn.
I also study Jewish history and of American women's history so there's that...

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Austria, Belgium, Costa Rica, Germany, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

Spain, United States
