Overview
About Me
I've always loved travel and the opportunities it brings us. I first joined CS in 2018! I would meet up and host travelers coming through Philly, and then soon after surfed for a month throughout Europe. Travel has always been a passion of mine, but in the past few years I've really made it a priority.
My boyfriend and I live in Philly, but for at least a few months a year we travel and live in other places. I've worked remote for about six years as a designer and developer.
I'm the type of person that always has a million projects and business ideas. You can see some of them on my personal website: https://www.treehouseops.com. In general I love discussing ideas and coming up with crazy plans...and then making them happen.
I've been learning Spanish intensely now for about 5 months, though I had tried for years. FINALLY now I can speak pretty well and in a few more months I hope to be fluent and start learning French/visiting more French speaking countries.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It's a fantastic community that opens up the world! When I first joined Couchsurfing, I couldn't afford lodging anywhere and it wouldn't have been possible for me to go to Europe without it. I had the best time and some of the richest memories with people all over the world. Much more than just sightseeing.
Now I can go the airbnb route, but I'd miss that Couchsurfing magic. I'd love to get to know people and ideally not just stay over at their house once or host transactionally, but go have some adventures together.
Interests
I'm an adventure-seeking hobby-collecting overly excitable type. In general I try and introduce myself to one new difficult thing a year. Sometimes they take and become a passion and even my career! Others just a passing fancy.
Some of the things I've jumped into have been:
- Scuba diving (advanced cert)
- Partner dancing (salsa/swing/blues etc)
- Aerial acrobatics
- Horse back riding
- Skiing
- Home renovation
- Illustration & all art things
- Surfing (terrible, paddle boarding is more my jam)
- Long distance hiking (I love European hiking on long trails that go through cute towns and have pubs)
- Bike camping
- Sailing
Never tried but want to:
- Outdoor rock climbing
- Flying
- Kite surfing
- arts
- singing
- photography
- dancing
- running

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Just one?? I'm more about a bunch of amazing smaller moments all throughout life. Here are some of my favorites:
First time I sailed a boat and learned to harness the wind!
Learning to ride horses in the Sierra Nevada mountain range in Spain.
3 month road trip by myself across the US.
Convincing my boyfriend who had never been out of the country to gallivant all over the world for months at a time. (truly amazing lol)
Teach, Learn, Share
Would love to exchange languages! Especially with Spanish speakers right now.
As a designer/developer in tech, I know a ton about that world and can point you in the right direction if you want to create something.
