ABOUT ME
My day job used to be teaching in a school in East London. Tough area but I absolutely loved the kids. Now it is teaching kids in Shanghai. My job gives me a lot of satisfaction.
However I do try and put my hand to anything creative.
So apart from teaching which one of the below am I not?
Sausage maker
Actor
Massage therapist
Photographer
I'm sure you'll find out once we meet. I may well have to update the list anyway in the near future as I plan to work on the one which I am not yet doing.
PHILOSOPHY
I'm a Christian. Try and let be my personal philosophy. Probably fall short of the mark I'm sure.apart from that I guess be nice, and help people where I can.I love learning and will never tire of new experiences and people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
By allowing others to come stay on my lovely couch and now that I live in Shanghai I turn up to events.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Met up with someone in New York who I met throught the CS website. Had a great time.
Mainly hosted and I have met some really fun and interesting people.
Interests
I'm up for all sorts, sampling the night life as well as going to a nice gallery and talking philosophy. I'm a people person so just into meeting interesting people especially if food is involved. Some of the highlights have been: having a someone stay and writing a song together under candle light.Delivering a bag half way around the world that a CS guest had left behind. It ought to have had a few thousand pounds inside but it didn't when I delivered it.Hosting a guy for a night who was sleeping on a different bed every night for one year.

Music, Movies, and Books
"The Road" by Cormac McCarthy. Great read.
Also; Never let me go - Ishoguru, Remains of the day - ishoguru, Small Islands, Cloud Atlas (looking forward to seeing the new film that's just been released), Half a Yellow Sun (looking forward to seeing the film once it's released), The songs of ice and fire (game of thrones) series, epic.
Getting English language books is a little tougher out here in Shanghai. Need to get back on the case.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Slept on the great wall of China.
Not sure it counts as amazing but was certainly an interesting experience was being invited as a guest on a Chinese talk show to talk about my experiences of couch surfing. http://v.youku.com/v_show/id_XMjM0NTQ3MzI4.html
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm trying to learn to make films, learning to speak and read Chinese, learning to take pictures, learning to act, learning to teach, learning to live.
