I grew up moving around the United States due to my dad being in the military, which is what started my love for traveling. Currently I am an undergraduate at UW-Madison majoring in Kinesiology. My future goals is to attend medical school and to become a pediatrician, working with underprivileged youth and children with physical and cognitive disabilities. One of my life mottos is that I will try anything once. I love the outdoors and exploring new things as well as just sitting around talking about everything and anything. I pride myself on being a pretty open book and I'd love to swap stories. I'm a pretty avid runner, reader, adventurer, exerciser, hiker, and artsy person.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Traveling is one of my favorite things, and I'd love to meet and experience new things with people from all over the world! I am currently in my last year of College and am traveling for a year before Medical School. I am planning on traveling around the U.K., mainland Europe and Africa. Storytelling and creating new memories is an important goal of mine and understanding where others come from is just as important. Not only do I hope to stay with interesting people, but when I have my own place I hope to return the favor and make lifelong friends/contacts from all 193 countries.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

January 2015 I traveled to Peru and worked at a mobile clinic in the outskirts of Lima, where we helped over 3,000 patients over the course of two weeks in dentistry, obgyn, pediatrics, and general medicine. During this time we also built a concrete staircase as well as started a clean water project in order to bring cold clean water to those who lived at the highest parts of the mountains.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Memories, experiences, and good company. I love meeting new people and although I'm traveling alone, I'm hoping that I don't have to be alone at all, really. I want to share this adventure with as many people as I can, and I'm hoping to get as much out of this experience as possible, meaning I will drag you along with me and we can have the time of our lives. Touristing in your own city can help connect you even further, and I'd love to be the test dummy that tests your knowledge of where you live.
