I'm a french student in Montreal city since 2013, I study comparative literature, I did my master degree on the concept of black humor, and I'm going to start a Phd, focusing on ecofeminism . Before Montréal I was in the Caribbean islands, where I grew up.
After 13 years in a tiny island, Marie Galante (full of beaches and wonderful spots to scuba dive, a little place when everybody knows everybody), I now love to discover big cities, museums, cultures, and meet people from all around the world; but my childhood has also given me the love of nature and the will to preserve it.
I love watching, practising and talking about sports (soccer, tennis, handball and basketball to watch; volley-ball, ice-skate, and climbing to practice).
I'm very openminded, interested in a lot of subjects, whether it's ecological concerns or astronomy, feminism or sports, arts or political or religious belief, everything is good to talk about and to lear from !
I enjoy meeting new people and socializing, sharing experiences, laughs, without being invasive. I've started to cook, so that's a new skill I'm willing to share ! I usually travel with my girlfriend, so we are used to it and it's always great.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because the concept is great and I'll take of the chances and possibilities to travel and socialize, as much as I can.

Interests

Sports (volley ball and climbing are the ones I practice, but I really enjoy them all) , literature, any arts, museums, hearing about other people's life and stories.
I'm very curious, opened to all subjects.
I study literature and I love it, I try to go to the theatre quite often, and I love discovering cities by walking.

I've swum with a shark and dolphins in the Caribbean sea, it was quite beautiful and amazing.

I can teach french and creole, my friends (whom with I'm travelling) speaks russian, we can share cooking abilities (I like trying new recipes).
My friend is learning Spanish and I'd like to improve my English and to learn Italian.
