About Me
Hi! I am a simple soul who loves to explore and meet new people. I am just as happy sitting outside reading a book or going on a hike as venturing through a new city and checking out a cool coffee shop. Currently I work in the children's department of a library and freelance with a few modern dance companies. I love introducing kids to the wonderful world of learning, seeing their joy of exploration, and setting them on the path of lifelong learning that I am all about.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am excited about the possibility of meeting new people as I start to travel more as well as hosting people in my home so they may get to know my city in a more friendly and inclusive way. My roommate introduced me to couchsurfing when she went on a road trip last summer and journeyed throughout the US via couchsurfers. Her stories were awesome, so we decided to open up our home to couchsurfers and share our experiences in our city with people passing through.
Interests
I love to dance, professionally and purely for fun. Enjoy being outside, whether it's hiking, exploring, gardening, or just sitting and soaking up some sunshine. I absolutely love to cook, especially veggies of all sorts. Probably my absolutely favorite activity, however, is urban adventuring. Give me a beautiful sunny day and an interesting town and I can be set for hours!

Music, Movies, and Books
Friends, Mad Men, The Doors--classic rock in general, funk, Justin Townes Earle, Bridget Jones Diary
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Exploring along the Eastern Coast of South Africa--sandboarding on sand dunes, talking to people from the area, and (trying to) sleep outside under bats; urban adventuring and creating art with a wonderful photographer friend of mine all around my current city of Columbus, OH; camping in the Smoky Mountains surrounded by fresh air and pure, mountain-fed streams
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm very into somatics and natural breath-based relaxation techniques. I am always interested in learning and would be happy to share a meditative/relaxation experience with another or simply a discussion with someone on their own practices.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I would love to help you in your garden if you happen to have one, cook a lovely (veggie-based) meal for you, teach a relaxing and strengthening Pilates class, or help you clean your dishes (understand the no-dishwasher life...).
