ABOUT ME

I'm basically motivated by curiosity and feel that anything can be interesting if you start to think and learn about it. This is the main reason why i love travelling - there is so much to discover. Part of my studies were on atmospheric physics, including climate change, which made me very aware of the craziness of the human race, but I've become even more passionate about environmental issues the more I travel and see for myself the destruction of the planet, which is happening everywhere. I try not to fly, unless it's absolutely necessary - would rather sit on a bus for 10 hours - and I hope to spread awareness of what's going on by taking photos, writing about it and talking to people. It's not much, but it's too easy just to give up!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Amazing experiences all over China, staying in all kinds of places. Everyone I met was friendly and welcoming and revived my belief in the basic goodness of mankind! I'm now back in England and am staying with my Mum so I can't definitely offer a sofa, but it should be OK now and then. It's a great idea and will revolutionise travel.

Intereses

DANCING is my first love - I dance whenever and wherever I can. I'm interested in learning any style, but have trained mainly in contemporary. I also love reading, photography, film, climbing up mountains, cosmology, singing, swimming in the sea, skiing/snowboarding when I get a chance to, and people! Recently, this past year, I have to add DIVING to this list - I'm absolutely crazy about it, and have done my divemaster. It has raised my awareness to new levels about the fragility of the ocean, and how much we humans are absolutely dependent on it for our existence

We know almost nothing about dark energy except that it is causing the expansion of the universe to accelerate!
