Overview
About Me
Starting with October we're going to be traveling a lot through the end of the year so temporarily can't accept guests until 2016.
CURRENT MISSION
Continue improving ....
You can see more about us on our website at www.caferosario.com.
María is an internal medicine doctor but now specializes in epidemiology working for the Secretary of Health and responsible for disease outbreaks in the area bordering on Guatemala. She's also a homeopathic doctor and runs that business by word of mouth out of our home.
If you check the website we obviously have a small coffee roasting and distribution business out of our home.
ABOUT US
We're active, project oriented, and enjoy most everything. The glass is half full. We don't sleep much. We try to live a self-sustaining, organic lifestyle. María (laughingly) says Dan talks too much but he really enjoys people and their stories - and likes to share our own.
PHILOSOPHY
It's how you do the journey that's important. The destination isn't that important - nor even whether you get there.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We've several experiences being on a couch. All good. Generally We've hosted either formally or informally.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Have hosted more than surfed and more by meeting people while traveling than through this site.
Interests
What are we NOT interested in? We both have more projects than we can handle. Dan is building/rebuilding two houses. He likes alternative construction. He likes to play bridge and loves to read. He installs solar systems. He writes software and fixes computers. María has a homeopathic practice in addition to being an epidemiologist for the region of Mexico bordering on Guatemala. She loves to buy antique clothes and indigenous weaving and make something useful out of them. She fixes up old Barbie's and makes clothes for them. We both buy and roast coffee and are interested in the people from which we buy it. We're both interested in learning more and are fascinated by everything. We raise bees. We enjoy growing our own food. We make wine and beer. We're NOT interested in being a carnivore in any sense of the word nor what it implies environmentally but don't judge anyone that is.
