About Me

I'm a dreamer, pure sang. An idealist. Gypsy soul. Writing wanderer. Soul-ful(l) philosopher. Dancing dolphin.

Travelling, writing, spiritually dancing my way through life and this world, eager to explore and discover every corner of this beautiful planet of ours and most of all: every aspect (even the best kept secrets) of human nature.

I'm driven by (natural - in all its ways) beauty and deeply touched by human ways (good and bad). My life is enriched by spirituality, my body empowered by a healthy lifestyle (I'm vegan and always somehow on the move), my mind strengthened by mindful living and my soul? Burning bright and dancing (I love dancing!) through life as I make it my quest to find out and follow what is true to me!

My greatest passion is writing and the soul journey. I combine both in my blog (that I'm currently transforming in a website and, soon to be, ongoing project). Feel free to have a look and get to know me and my world a bit better:

There's a lot more to all of us than what meets the eye and I hope we can meet some day to talk, laugh and philosophize in person about ourselves and life in general. But for now, just a few quotes I live by and move me.

"If your dreams don't scare you then they're not big enough" (Steve Jobs)

"Until you make the unconscious conscious it will direct your life and you will call it fate" (Carl G. Jung)

"Forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet and the winds long to play with your hair" (Khalil Gibran)

"Don't you know yet? It is your light that lights the world" (Rumi)

"One of the most calming and powerful actions you can do to intervene in a stormy world is to stand up and show your soul" (Clarissa Pinkola Estés)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Discovering a country, city, piazza... through a local's eyes, is there a better way to get to know the world?

Meeting and sharing warm moments with beautiful, hospitable, welcoming nomads, can your world get any better?

Sharing the most precious gifts we have: space and time, can this world be any better?

Music, Movies, and Books

~~~Favorite Music~~~
My favorite band is Bon Iver and one of my greatest heroes is Bob Marley, but I have a very eclectic music taste. I love everything Latin and with African beats, everything beautiful and rhythmic to dance to. But I listen to a lot of Indie, Jazz, classical music and Pop as well.
~~~Movies~~~
I love a wide range of movies. Amongst my favorites are: Samsara, Home & Terra, Cidade de Deus, Requiem for a dream, Donnie Darko, The Big Lebowski, Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain, Avatar, The life of Pi, La Grande Bellezza, Volver, Memento, Fight Club, American Beauty, Le Huitième Jour, Jeux d'enfants, Gandhi, Amy, La Vita è Bella, Bullhead, La vie d'Adèle, Babel
And I'm a big Yann-Arthus Bertrand, Leonardo Dicaprio, Wes Anderson, Les Frères Dardenne and Alejandro González Iñárritu fan

~~~Books~~~
Women who run with wolves (Clarissa Pinkola Estés), Siddharta (Hermann Hesse), Henry and June & Anaïs Nin's personal diaries, A Hundred Years of Solitude (Gabriel Garcia Marquez), Moth Smoke (Mohsin Hamid), The Forty Rules of Love (Elif Safak), Khaled Hosseini, Paulo Coelho, Alan Watts, Henry Miller
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
A late night-full moon-bright hearted adventure: go on two hour hike in the Brazilian jungle on a hot summer night to arrive on a remote beach somewhere and nowhere. Run to find fresh spring water, run back to pump up the stand up paddle and paddle back home. Paddling in open ocean with only the moon and stars to guide you home, waves to carry you back, silence to guide you through the power of (your) nature. A ground zero, top notch experience.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Hours of banter, freestyle philosophy, life stories and adventures. Karaoke sessions (yes, even the guilty pleasures), dance till you drop living room parties. Yoga classes, guided meditation, peaceful - blissful silence. Vegan delights. And most of all: many smiles, even more laughter and lots of warm sharing!
