re-learn to live after finishing my PhD
Planning to travel with Clemens, my boyfriend, to japan, New zealand and New Caledonia. He is german, but no worry, I hold him tight :D No, in reality, he is a super nice, funny and quiet guy who was accidentally born in the wrong country :D

ABOUT ME

Just completed my PhD about sea silk and Pinna nobilis. I encourage you to google it, or ask me about it ;)

I'm curious, therefore I do/did a lot of things: little bit of Capoeira, classical and contemporain dance, riding, swimming, running, ski touring, snowboarding, paragliding, drawing, wandering, climbing, salsa, rock'n roll, meditation, photography, video, charleston, west coast swing, tango...

I'm smiling and enthousiastic, like tea, chatting, sharing experiences, cooking and eating with friends, dancing, hanging out

More or less vegetarian, preoccupied about environment. Love second hand shopping, craft, sewing, etc....

By the way I am looking for a job as material engineer in sustainabie material development, consulting in sustainability or science management O:)

There are some things that you absolutely need to know a about me:
It's always raining when I planed to camp(but you always remember camping under the rain)
I always confuse Tuesday and Thursday, halb acht and 8:30
I always get lost when I'm looking for a climbing site

But if we don't plan to camp, climb, meet on Tuesday or at half past something in german, I'm a nice and reliable girl :D

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am re-emerging after the PhD, so my active participation is from a couple of years ago. Met people to go climb together, hosted a couple of people in Switzerland (they liked it, no idea why their comments disappeared),started hosting again in Potsdam, got hosted 2-3 times, which were amazing times!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Hosted in Danemark, swam in the river in the mittel of Copenhagen, Went camping (without rain!!!) in the wood in Sweden, and hosted in Sweden,. Also hosted 2 times in my small flat and twice in my a bit bigger flat in Potsdam.

Interests

I like nature, watching animals, photography, walking, sport, going out sometimes, but also like just take time to drink a tea and talk for a while especially when it was unexpected.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Recover from a cancer
Do paragliding alone, the most wonderful experiment I had, I would recommend it strongly.
Move from Switzerland to Potsdam. Improve my German to the point that i speak wrong but fluently now.
Completed a PhD.
Discovered the secrets of Sea Silk.
Observed the big fan shell Pinna nobilis.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can talk about mussels and sea silk tradition, share the experience of doing a PhD.
My boyfriend can teach how to make cheese.
I can show you around.
I can also teach some basics of photography...or Material science if you really insists! :D
