I'm very new to this and I think the concept is really interesting. My partner told me about experiences he had using Couchsurfing for travelling and it is something that really interest me.

Travelling and seeing the world has always been my dream. I grew up in China and have been living in Sydney for almost 8 years. In the past years, I took every opportunities to road trip to somewhere different in Australia or flying overseas by myself, with my partner or with a close group of friends. So far, I have travelled to lots of parts of Australia, South Africa, South America and of course my hometown Asia.

I love travelling and talking to people so much that I got myself a job as a Tour Guide on one of Sydney's most famous icon, the Sydney Harbour Bridge as a Climb Leader. Yes I climb that bridge twice a day, introduce the city and the beautiful harbour to tourists. AND YES I CAN GET YOU DISCOUNT IF YOU WANT A CLIMB AND SHOW YOU THE CITY WITH MY KNOWLEDGE :)

To me, travelling is not just about ticking off all the well known places but to actually get to know a place's history, culture and most interestingly how locals live their lives, and to see how their dreams and goals are different from mine.

Therefore I like to travel on local transport, on foot and try to fit in as much as I can. I love chatting and sharing, nothing is more interesting than helping people, talking or sharing thoughts with someone.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would love to meet locals who I can share their local knowledge, so we exchange our different views on cultures and visit places only locals know:)

I'm a big believer in Karma and as such I think the Couchsurfing concept of paying it forward fits well with my value about how we should share things.

Interests

I love most outdoor activities, particularly bush walking, mountain biking, swimming and rock climbing.

When I am quiet or inspired, I like to draw, especially sketching. I started drawing since 12, I use art to express my thoughts. I also like to draw people portraits, landscape or anything random that comes to my head.

You play badminton and table tennis? I'm no expert but I'm pretty good haha:D

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Came from China to start a life in Australia by myself when I was 17.

Learnt to speak fluent English, did many random jobs to support myself and eventually became a tour guide.

Decided to do this trip! It took courage to book an Around The World ticket to the US, Mexico, Cuba, Iceland, London and lots of European countries, Turkey and UAE for 4.5 month trip to see all these places my myself.
