About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Now, where did I put that bed...

ABOUT ME

I consider myself a decent person, funny and nice to hang out with. Some people say I'm too nice for my own good, and sometimes I do agree with them, but I can't force myself to be any different.
I travelled quite a lot recently, mostly for work reasons, and I enjoyed it. I like seeing new things, experience new life styles and meeting new people.
I lived for most of my life in my hometown, Genoa, in Italy, then moved to London, UK, to start a new career. That was quite a few years ago.
A lot happened during these years, and I've enjoyed every single day of them. I do not regret anything, I'm so happy I decided to move abroad. I think it's the best thing that ever happened to me. I matured a lot, and I learned how to deal with lots of different people and situations.
Seriously, everyone should try at least once!

PHILOSOPHY

*sigh* I'm so bad at this stuff... Personal philosophy... Let's see...
My take on life changed quite a lot recently. Being a freelance worker, I tend not to do any long-term plan, a phonecall could change everything in a second.
That's a bit how I live my life at the moment: take everything the way it comes, do not fret too much about it and get on with it. Life's too short to worry about such things, just pack up and follow the flow.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I mostly slack about, to be honest, but I enjoy hosting people every now and then and go to the odd meeting.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I went with a friend to the U.S. Virgin Islands where a old friend of his was living at the time. She had us as guests for about ten days. She was great, she took us around the islands and showed us quite a fre things. Thanks, Katie!
I often have friends staying over at my place in London. Beds, sofas, floors... evertying will do!

Interests

Music, books, videogames, cinema, travelling around, cooking and tasting exotic dishes, meeting new people and listening to their stories.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: almost anything, apart from R&B and hip hop.
Books: almost anything by Chuck Palahniuk. I used to read quite a lot of sci-fi and fantasy, but now I enjoy a lot of different genres. Currently reading The Rules of Attraction by Bret Easton Ellis.
Films: Kevin Smith is my god. I enjoy very different kind of films, from the long and heavy psichological dramas, to the lighthearted comedies (not so much of a romantic comedy fan...) and blockbusters. Just so you know, I enjoy Steven Segal's films. :P

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I still think that taking the decision of leaving Italy and moving to London in about two weeks was the most amazing thing I've ever done in my life. The oppoortunity came up, I just took it.
The most amazing thing I've seen... the Golden Temple in Kyoto, Japan. Sheer beauty.

Teach, Learn, Share

Righto. I can surely teach how to cook, I really enjoy it, and some Italian (the language) as well.
I'd like to learn how to surf! Couches, waves, everything. It's one of those childhood dreams you keep with you at all times.
And I can mop the floor with you at PES (ask baskjev for more information).
