Hello,

I am Bram 28 years old and born and raised on a farm in (the french part of) Belgium. I studied Marketing and Commercial Sience in Gent and stayed there after my studies.

I am very open, sociable and communicative. At the moment I am working both in the bank and in a bar to save up to travel.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

First and foremost because I love to meet new people who travel a lot and who are open minded.

And also seeing that I plan on travelling for a long time (leaving Belgium 11 january 2016) in New Zeeland, Australia and South East Asia. I hope that via couchsurfing I can meet some fun locals who can show me around and/or possibly offer me a place to sleep.

The most important thing to me is however not a free place to sleep but meeting as much locals and people from different cultures as possible.

Interests

Obviously my main passion is travelling and I hope I can still keep on travelling for a long time.

Next to travelling I really like sports and adventure. The sport I like the most is climbing, but next to that I also like to swim, squash or play ping pong from time to time. Oh and I love long hiking trips.

Next to sports and adventure I really like music. I am a semi-decent beatboxer and I am learning to play the guitar.

Music, Movies, and Books

I absolutely adore music and listen to it all the time. At work, in the shower, when I get up and when I go to sleep. I don't have a favourite genre since I believe there is a kind of music for every moment. The music I listen to get up sure as hell isn't the same music that I listen to before I go to bed ;-)...

My favourite books are fantasy books. I have a really vivid and live imagination so fantasy and science fiction are right up my alley. Some of my favourite series of books are lord of the rings and harry potter. At the moment I am reading the night angel trilogy of brent weeks, a big must-read for ethousiastics of the genre.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of my most amazing experience was a two week kayak trip on the orinocodelta in Venezuela. We slept with the locals, went hiking in the jungle, we built our own shelters and kayakked at night to enjoy the stars. A trully once in a lifetime experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

In my life I have travelled to different continents, studied different things and have had more jobs then most people in their life time. So I do believe that I have some things to teach and share.

Oh and I believe I can never learn enough :-)!

What I Can Share with Hosts

First of all as said before I am very sociable, open and communicative and I speak a lot of languages so you can allways count on a good story.

Also I am very outgoing and people have said me before that I am quite good company ;-)

Next to that, since you (might) be my guide or share your house with me for a little time I am willing to help around where I can. Whether it is helping your friend move, doing the dishes, cooking a belgian meal or tend to the animals it doesn't matter. I am MORE then willing to help wherever and whenever I can.
