About Me

CURRENT MISSION
- 3 Jan 2015 update: let me express my disappointment for how CS has become super-indignantly outrageous in the last two or three years. As usual, whenever anything becomes mass marketed it decays. Sigh. CS it was something beautiful; well, at least it was more beautiful than what now is. Sorry guys, but how it developed is actually, slowly, making me loose the commitment.

Visit the world and learn from it!
(edit 2015: in this sentence the word "Visit" became unnecessary, it became one of the possible ways of learning, not the main one. Consequently, I would also replace the "and" with a comma)

ABOUT ME

I love travelling, but it's very expensive! I like meeting new people too. So I'm here!
I think the world as a matter of perceptions, where for each person there is a different world. Iâ

(edit 2015: this was true, when I had a dearth of perspectives and I needed to gather new worlds. Now the collections of worlds I experienced through other's minds and eyes made me realize that there are only few perspectives worth considering, and none worth seeking - since you find the beautiful only in unexpected ways. All the rest is pure garbage [not trash: garbage])

PHILOSOPHY

Learn it, try it, taste it, feel it. You live only once! (2105 edit: I do believe this philosophy is slightly outdated. Nowadays I suppose I would borrow Mr. Tallis words to express the summary of a whole mature philosophy:

"The leech's kiss, the squid embrace,
The prurient ape's defiling touch:
And do you like the human race?
No, not much.

THIS MEANS YOU, KEEP OUT"

I recognize Aldous may have written this book while under acids but the acidity is never a valuable reason not to respect other's genius.)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

2015
Still attached to something that used to be better and that is getting worse. (Inertia perhaps?)

Interests

There are so few things in life: (not in order)
Water (sea especially);
Food;
Wine;
Friends;
Sleep;
Funny stuff and jokes;
Reading a good book;

This is the new summarized list from 2015!! (3 items are gone!!! [Are you excited? {well, you should be} ] )

  • books
  • dining
  • wine
  • reading
  • traveling

Music, Movies, and Books

There was a list of old things, now there is no more. The most important message remains:

I will fill it... Yeah... Sure... We all know I am too lazy!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

So far I have been managing to live forever.

Teach, Learn, Share

Sometimes I'm a little boring. (edit 2015: or to see the same thing from another perspective: sometimes you are a little boring and get bored in my presence.)

What I Can Share with Hosts

(edit 2015)
Wisdom; cruelty; fun; good old fashioned gentle heart; a practical demonstration of how social constructs are unnecessary. Then: a tissue.

(Edit 2017: I'm out of tissues)

Countries I’ve Visited
