To keep working and traveling until I get enough capital and knowledge to start an eco-resort

ABOUT ME

Hey there,
My name is Thor Edens and I travel with the lovely Ms. Ria O'Brien. We are both Americans, and after our service with the Peace Corps we fell in love with each other, the world, and traveling. Now we are traveling about trying to get started on our life dream- opening a community friendly eco-resort. The only problem is that we don't have enough cash to make this happen, besides we can't agree on where.

Currently, we are English Teachers and having completed a year in Korea (lots of other places before that), we want to move on. Taiwan looks nice.

As a side note, I am an excellent geek, if you let us crash at your place I can fix up your house and electronics. Ria is an amazing cook.

PHILOSOPHY

I feel that life is short and meaningless. Its our collective experience and the impact that we have on the world that leaves an impact. Therefore, we should concentrate on doing good by people, as a community.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At this moment, we don't have the space to host. We have only just moved back to the States.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We had a really good experience with our host in Taipei. In Seoul, Ria would go to couchsurfer get-togethers, but didn't really have the space to host (her apartment was tiny).
No matter what, we're always willing to help out a fellow traveler with whatever we're able to spare at the time: advice, showing around town, etc.

Intereses

I love science, technology, and art. Ria loves singing, music, and dancing. We both love movies and good food.
