About Me

ABOUT ME

I want to acquire experiences and gather as much knowledge that interests me as possible in this lifetime. Being an innate learner, there is little stopping me from trying anything once. I dislike materialism, capitalism, censorship, nationalism, misogyny, hypocrisy and ignorance. Road tripping, traveling, camping, and living free without the human time with interesting company is beauty. I have startling good social memory. I enjoy my own honesty more so than my lies ergo I'm an open book, but usually, no one asks the right questions.

PHILOSOPHY

Trying my best to harness the power of lucid dreaming. Not letting my smarts go stale. Seeing my next creative project come to fruition. Social experiments. Analyzing the drive behind a decision. Finding a balance between control and the lack of. Stop sacrificing the present for the future. Shaking off my possessions so that my escapes are easier. Wanting to flex every side of my personality like any other muscle that needs to be worked. Doing what I can to adapt faster than you. Trying to be always aware of the ways I use people. Learning slowly that it is okay to be a merciless young lady.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just started and if all goes well, I would love to get more involved!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have not surfed as of yet nor hosted!

Interests

I majored in Neuroscience and Oil painted at an all women's college, now I'm taking courses a la carte to finish B.S. and grad school prereqs. I can't stop perceiving like a painter so it's as much a part of me as any other occupation I'd hold. I am analytical/logical when problem solving (in all senses of problem solving), but I'm very much so run by my feelings/ideas. It's hard for some people to make sense of me.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books are more telling than others:

Brief History of Time, Ender's Game Series, Ginsberg, Kurt Vonnegut, Catch-22, 1984, The Anthem, Animal Farm, Brave New World, Fair New World, The Unbearable Lightness of Being, Book of Laughter and Forgetting, Art and Fear, A Handmaid's Tale, Feed, Girl, Interrupted, The Good Earth, Tao Te Ching, The Wanting Seed, Franny and Zooey, The Man Who Folded Himself, Razor Wire Pubic Hair, Neuromancer, Snakes and Earrings, Blink, Penlopiad, Zombie survival Guide, The Jungle, The Skin Ego, Of Human Nature, the Art of Loving, Dice Man, Ishmeal, Laughable Love, Book of Laughter and Forgetting, DIY books and a bunch of non-fictions about science, art, women, men or astrophysics.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Domestic road tips with extreme camping included! I love the mountains and deserts. Been from Minnesota to Montana and back. Then a reconnaissance trip from Boston to the middle of nowhere Texas. Visited montreal and faced the blizzard there full force on new years. I go to China every 3-4 years since I have family in the Szechuan province - YES TO SPICE!

Teach, Learn, Share

reading, oil painting, figure skating, playing classical piano, drawing, balancing, flexibility, reflex, turkish marbling, case binding, wordgames(boggle), academic debating, writing eloquent bullshit, pingpong, Texas Holdem poker (the sitting in a smokey room with shady characters variant), Dance Dance Revolution, cooking things you think would taste bad but is actually delicious, sluicing, hammocking, sewing clothes, peeling grapefruit, making faces, collecting, meandering, loving flora and fauna, extreme camping, human pyramiding, vertical dancing, smoking shisha, gigantic sand sculptures, rolling cigarettes, starting fires (for camping, not arson), free shooting my recurve, getting lucky at the dollar-a-pound, coaxing a kite to fly, staying alive while playing ship's-mast, scaling fences, going back down a mountain, perfect relative pitch, moshing, giving haircuts
