About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I want to live life comfortably without worry or hassle.

ABOUT ME

I am Jordan or Demzie.
24 years old as of October 3rd, '14
I've moved in with my Girlfriend and we have a semi-charmed kinda life here in Seaside Rhode Island.
I am a frequent traveler of the surrounding areas. thanks to some skill building up old bicycles as a hobby and interest.

I am always looking for new people to hang out with, and initially began here to meet new people and see what Rhode Island had to offer. Now that Im living here, making friends locally is what I strive for most as it seems so hard to make them here.

PHILOSOPHY

You cant make everyone happy, but it doesnt hurt to be the best natured person you can be, despite it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm a surfer, and my lady and I have moved into our apartment, so we can host when the season and circumstances are right~

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had a lot of experience couch surfing, either for money, work or free. It has been rather rewarding for both parties. My only rough experience was a surf I had in the spring of 2012 where the host broke off the agreement shorter than we had originally agreed upon, but was otherwise hospitable.. So coming to see someone new, or having someone new to meet at my own door is always a unique and often enriching experience for me, and I try to make that as mutual as possible.

Interests

BIKES- its 90 percent of my day.Vintage bikes mostly. I own a '39 Columbia and a 68/69 Murray.

music, Played several instruments, though no longer own one of my own.

dancing, I spent time in the RAVE scene in early '00-'09, as well as multicultural dance and Bellydance lessons.

painting-art in general, though I prefer to work mostly with Aerosol Mural work.

forums and forum boards occupy a little of my time, where I seek out information on bicycles and post my own two cents where its wanted.

writing, I do a heck of a lot of it, from Bicycles to grim fiction novels, though its mostly kept to the BBS anymore.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - Tegan and Sara, Rancid, Distillers, Authority Zero, Misfits, Lucero, DaysNDaze, golden oldies..90's alternative/90s anything really.. A long variety of music I enjoy, but tend to stick to the above more.. I really like Dostoevsky and Shostakovitch..I feel Beethoven is overrated.

Movies - SLC Punk, This is England, A Christmas Story...hmm..this is a tough question, because I could go into detail about so many.. I like foreign films a great deal.. often ones about the Aussie Outback and seclusion.

Books -
Annie on my Mind, by Nancy Garden.
Speak, By......
Cut, By Patricia McCormick
Go Ask Alice, By: "Anon" [rumors surrounding government involvement]
Anything by Hunter S. Thompson/GONZO Journalism

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Gone train hopping cross country.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach Macrome, basic Didgeridoo, how to assemble and disassemble bicycles and maintain them with the proper care..as well as customization.
I can teach creative writing, and good partner skills.
I can teach "Liquid" and Poi.
I can teach you how to see beauty in the littlest things, and how to open your eyes to the bigger things you may overlook.

Id like to learn inner peace, Tennor Banjo, and Pinstriping/along with all things automotive.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Smiles, a few beers and some warm blankets.
Good company and frequent, if not overly frequent conversation.
Food is a guarantee if Im able to host you. I cant see inviting someone and not cooking for them, or at bare minimum getting something "takeout".

We have two cats, and their warmth is shared with our guests as well.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Mexico, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

United States
