We are 2 friendly people from Sweden. Henrik is a composer and Gertrud is a Jewellery artist with her own studio in Göteborg. We've been together for 8 years. We're vegetarians and enjoy good food, wines and company. We currently study both German and Chinese. We are currently living in Gothenburg with our rather small dog Beibei.

PHILOSOPHY

Henrik: What I want to do is to understand. I want to have a dialogue with different people to find out, to share how they are thinking: to participate. I feel that human thought tends to get over-focused and limit everybody to his own little area. It is important to be able to communicate and have a dialogue, to listen to each and everybody. Listening, and sharing these views, then perhaps we can go beyond them.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We try to Couchsurf as much as possible, and we also host when we can.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have stayed with some 15 couchsurfers or so during our trip and we only had great experience. We have also hosted about 5 surfers with good experience in our flat in Göteborg.

Bach, Mozart - piano concertos but especially Don Giovanni, Beethoven - the late, Wagner - Tristan & Isolde, some things of Stravinsky, almost anything of Stockhausen, also enjoy Corelli, Nörgård, Grisey, some things of Murail, traditional Japanese music - especially Gagaku, Chinese music, Balanese music, and much more!

Movies: Anything by Ingmar Bergman especially Persona, Renoir, Leben den Anderen, Tarkovsky, Kieslowski, etc.

Books: Herman Hesse, Dostojevsky, the Greeks, Swedenborg, Rumi, Krishnamurti, David Bohm, Strindberg, Rilke, Dao De Jing and much more.
