About Me

I grew up in Mexico but have been living in California for 15 years. Calling home these two very different countries has taught me many things and has made my life and understanding of other cultures richer. I am someone who enjoys everything life has to offer--even if it means stepping out of my comfort zone. One of the things I enjoy the most is just talking to people, hearing their stories and sharing our experiences. I am easygoing and always try to find beauty and good in any situation no matter how negative it may be.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I decided to join because I love traveling but once in a while I feel like I miss great opportunities to get to know local people better and to visit great places that only locals would know of. I feel that Couchsurfing enables a more genuine experience. Nothing makes you feel more at home than staying at an actual home.

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't have a favorite genre in music, film or books. I enjoy listening to music, period. I can listen to Moonlight Sonata and right after that Tool, Louis Prima, Feiruz or Fito Paez. I like indie/foreing films but once in a while I'll enjoy a blockbuster. I am a fan of Darren Aronofsky , Stanley Kubrick, Wes Anderson, Francis Ford, Martin Scorsese, etc. When it comes to books, any book that I can't stop reading is a good book for me. I prefer non-fiction but have read good fiction books as well.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Something amazing I've done is being able to help people in need. Wether that means donating time, material goods, food, water, money, whatever one can. When I was a child my mother would always help out people; from family to strangers who she met on the street. We didn't have much but what we had, we shared with others.
As for something amazing related to my travels, being in awe by a beautiful landscape in Humahuaca, Argentina; I had to sit down, take a breath and...hold the tears in. And bungee jumping!

Teach, Learn, Share

I enjoy learning just about anything; from people's stories and languages to new recipes or a musical instrument. I believe I can be of help by teaching English or Spanish. I could teach you cooking diverse foods as well.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I like sharing stories and experiences. When you have a genuine connection, you soon find yourself sharing a beautiful friendship as well.
