ABOUT ME -- Happy Momma!

Just celebrated my 9th anniversary with my husband Chris... whom I met whilst traveling to India... Got land locked in the UK, and the rest in a blessed history... always a reason for random fumbles.

We don't drink, don't do any drogas, and don't smoke - nada (at all - not even caffine :)). We do like to cook, keep a really tidy space/home, love to travel anywhere we can walk or hike, enjoy sauntering and meditating, and sci-fi films.

I used to work as an Educational/Emotional Coach and Professor of writing and mixed media arts... though privately I am an experimental artist, designer, and freelance writer. I intensively meditate (Vipassana), love pilates and yoga, walking for hours, existentialism and thinking wayyyy outside the box.

My brilliant British husband, Chris (who meditates with me every morning), currently: works in hospitality as a barista; plays blues and Django on his guitar; studies music theory; can pull apart and re-register an entire piano; is great with home improvement, enjoys quiet wanderings and 80's air-grabbing/ bottom-lip-biting music; and rather be working with his hands than anything else.

PHILOSOPHY

Try everything and keep an open mind: hate it, love it, learn from it, make amends, move on.

We must cherish ourselves above everything else... in that way we truly cherish all that comes into our lives.

A healthy family is the greatest blessing. Family is beyond blood, it is divine, and can be a group of anybodies who truly respect, adore, and are kind to one another.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Six years ago went to Stone Henge with a CS group for the summer solstice. Used several Russians and a Brit for blankets overnight. Traveling breeds strange bedfellows.

Had a great experience in Georgia.. brought my mum... Cindy kept us up for a week... good transition to moving down there.

Went to India on a strange whim, stayed with a generous woman in the middle of Delhi while I cultivated my curry legs.

Travelled to Lancaster last year and stayed with Jason for five days - trying to figure out where our next move was to be.

Now, we're targeting Asheville so that we can have a home birth utilizing a Midwifery center outside Mission hospital.

Denielle: Photography, art, music, dancing... inspired by savage talent with a relentless desire to create and produce things of tremendous use.
