About Me
Hi! I'm Denis, a passionate tour operator currently based in Zanzibar but originally from the beautiful town of Arusha, near Mount Meru and Serengeti. I love sharing stories, learning from different cultures, and helping others experience the real beauty of Tanzania. Whether it’s exploring the beaches of Zanzibar or the wildlife of the north, I enjoy connecting people with unforgettable adventures. I'm easygoing, open-minded, and always ready for good conversations, laughs, and cultural exchanges.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I joined Couchsurfing to meet new people from around the world, share experiences, and create meaningful connections. As someone working in tourism, I believe travel is not just about places—it's about people. Hosting and staying with others gives me the chance to learn, exchange cultures, and make friends beyond borders. I also love showing visitors the hidden gems of Zanzibar and giving local tips to make their stay special.

Music, Movies, and Books
I vibe with Country, Slowjams, and chill acoustic sounds. I enjoy movies that tell powerful stories—especially adventures, documentaries, and inspiring dramas. When it comes to books, I like reading about travel, culture, and personal development—anything that opens my mind and keeps me curious.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I once planned and led a last-minute customized trip for a couple who had only a few days in Tanzania. In just 5 days, they experienced a safari in Tarangire, a Maasai village visit, Serengeti and a relaxing escape in Zanzibar. Making it all happen smoothly, and seeing their happiness was an amazing feeling.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you about Tanzanian culture, Swahili phrases, local travel tips, and how to plan safaris or tours. I’d love to learn about your country, language, and way of life. I enjoy sharing stories, meals, laughs, and hidden gems around Zanzibar and Arusha.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I enjoy sharing my knowledge of Tanzania’s best travel spots, local customs, and hidden gems. I can introduce you to Swahili words and phrases, share delicious homemade recipes, and exchange stories about life and travel. I’m open-minded, friendly, and love making new connections.
