I've historically stayed with family or friends when I've traveled, but life through any local's eyes is a precious thing.

I work freelance in the media and video world, so when I'm not booked I look for cheap tickets to places I've never been before.

Youngest of 8 kids, funcle (fun-uncle) of 6 adorable nieces and nephews, interested in treating people decently and taking care of them!

I'm bilingual, and love exploring non-commercial aspects of other cultures. Less McDonalds, more fresh markets, hidden shores, beautiful sites, local pubs, and really seeing a slice of life through someone else's eyes.

Friendly, energetic, athletic, and hungry! I love meeting new people, trying new foods and drinks, playing video games, sports, chess, and having the occasional fine cigar.

"I don't want to see how places look, I need to know how places feel"

I'd rather have an authentic experience than I would a manufactured one. I like meeting new people, exploring new cultures, asking new questions, and listening to new stories.

I'd rather a spend time with locals than be on a guided tour - I'd rather sleep on a couch instead of a hotel - I'd rather go off the beaten path than see the touristy statue that everyone takes a selfie at.
