About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Looking for the simple bare necessities of life

ABOUT ME

I have a lust for the creative and unconventional (maybe that's cause in my real life i'm just a boring teacher:)

PHILOSOPHY

I want to die a grateful man.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I like hosting people, so you're more than welcome to stay at my place. I had a wonderful time surfing couches and floors in California this year, met some amazing people through this. It definitely is my favourite way to travel, as for me it's always less about the place and more about the people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm relatively new to couch surfing, but of course I've hosted many people and been hosted by many before and so far noone has complained about me.. well not in my face, at least :)

Interests

Music (I'm the singer and guitar player of an unsuccessful but passionate German rock/pop band), sports (above all soccer, but basically everything that involves running after a ball) and travelling, of course.. hmm and if someone asked me to choose between bungee jumping and chilling out at the beach, I'd already feel the sand between my toes..

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well.. I guess working in a preschool in Cape Town, South Africa, was the most amazing thing I've done so far.. I will never forget the people there and their heartwarming hospitality. It's because of them and the deep friendship that developed over the years that I keep coming back to Cape Town.
