About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Keep learning, while celebrating life.

ABOUT ME

I have been extremely blessed to be able to combine my love for travel with my passion for civic engagement. I hope to continue my adventures to other countries, & eventually visit every continent.

Adventure...BRING IT!

PHILOSOPHY

Culture, geography, history, & life..... I've learned more about these things by visiting other countries/places than I could've ever gain from a textbook.

Through the years, I've learned that the more I learn- the less I really know. I am a free-spirit who is willing to travel (almost) anywhere & try new things.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I attend CS events when I can & always enjoy meeting new peeps from around the world.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Any CouchSurfing event I've ever attended has resulted in pure fun as well as a rejuvenated spirit! I have met many wonderful people along my journey. Thank you, CS.

Interests

Exploring new places, trying something new each day, cooking, live shows/music/musicals, sporting events, tracking down an outlet mall in the middle of nowhere, & rekindling my creative genes (which depleted during grad school).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've trekked Silverback Mountain Gorillas in Rwanda, gallivanted in the Great Barrier Reef, rappelled down a skyscraper for Make a Wish Foundation, rafted the Nile River (Jinja, Uganda), almost died at one of the world's largest water parks, had my Fanta stolen by a monkey, been part of a ceremonial celebration held in a Native American spiritual sweat lodge, been chased by an albino kangaroo, & showed up to East Africa with exactly $8 U.S. Who does that?

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Burundi, Canada, Democratic Republic of Congo, Kenya, Mexico, Mozambique, Netherlands, Puerto Rico, Rwanda, South Africa, Spain, Uganda

Countries I’ve Lived In

United States
