ABOUT ME

My name is Denise, I'm 20 years old and I'm from Brazil. I was born in a small town in Minas Gerais called Itajubá and I went to Campinas (a big city near São Paulo) to study Food Engineering at the 'State University of Campinas' when I was 17.
My parents still live in Itajubá, so every holiday and almost every weekend I go there to visit them! They're the most important people of my life!
I also have lots of friends there, and we keep in touch by mail and msn messenger. Of course, when I go to Itajubá, I always visit them and we go out together!
I have made a lot of friends in Campinas, too! I met most of my friends there in the university, and we are always doing things together (like going to barbecues, cooking, chatting, making small trips, etc...).
In Campinas, I also met my boyfriend, Luciano! He is coming to Copenhagen in the end of the year (probably middle December) to visit me!
Traveling is one of the things that I like most! I'm very interested in knowing different cultures, languages and especially people!
Because of that, I was a member of an international student grup called AIESEC, which provides exchanges for young people! It was a great opportunity to meet people from all over the word (Colombia, Taiwan, USA, Netherlands, Kenya, etc...)!
I also love biking, this is one of my favorite hobbies in Campinas!
Now, I'm spending one semester in Copenhagen. I'm going to study Food Science at the University of Copenhagen! I've been here for only 2 weeks, but I can say it's being the most interesting and exciting experience of my life!
During this short period, I have visited most of Copenhagen's tourist locations and I also have visited Malmö (a small city in Sweden). I'm planning to make a lot of other trips during the semester!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've just assigned in this website, so I haven't never had an "official" coach surfing experience.
In 2008, however, I've gone to a city called "Maringá", in the South of Brazil, and I stayed in the house of a girl I didn't know yet. It was an amazing experience, we become friends very fast and we keep in touch until today!
