I have this crazy life-time goal, which is to hit every major city of the World. Is it possible?

ABOUT ME

Hmmm... where to start. I love meeting people. It is such an amazing experience when you meet people and you have that wonderful human connection. It doesn't happen all that often where I come from, but I have found that in meeting people from different cultures, people connect with one another in different ways. To me, that's interesting.

As far as hobbies... I love playing tennis. Although, about 10 years ago now, I injured my lower back and have been paying for it since then.

I'm also somewhat artistic. LOVE photography! I have been fortunate enough to be published in a book... and people have actually paid for some of my work. I'm so excited to travel around the world to take more pictures so people can see all of the things they are missing out on!

PHILOSOPHY

My personal philosophy... I think I may have mentioned it before, but I would say that it is "Life is about the human connection". There's so much to learn from the people you encounter on a daily basis. To take that knowledge and either pass it on, or make it become a part of who you become.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Up until now, I have participated by showing people around the city and I have hosted a couple of people as well.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In the Summer of 2008, I took the Eurorail and stayed with people in Oslo, Stockholm, Hamburg, Salzburg, and Lausanne. It was such an amazing experience all around!!! Now, it's my turn to "pay it forward".

The only music I don't like is Gangsta Rap and Heavy Metal... and maybe Indian & some Mexican music. ;) To name a few bands: Angus & Julia Stone, Passion Pit, Tune Yards, Mirah and Thao, Florence + the Machine, Gotan Project, Federico Abuele, Theivery Corporation, Blue Six, Regina Spektor, Lily Allen, Adele, Kate Nash, Joss Stone, Coldplay, Radiohead, Madonna, Pat Benetar, Paco de Lucia, Juan D'Areienzo, Frank Sinatra, Architecture in Helsinki, Dave Matthews Band, Esthero, Feist, Garbage, Fiona Apple, Jack Johnson, Kelly Clarkson... and the list goes on and on...

Movies - Love international films... like anything by Pedro Almodovar, anything staring Audrey Tatou, and the following: Central Station, La Vie en Rose, Cinema Paradiso, Augustin, No Sos Vos Soy Yo, Trois Colores, Hable con Ella, Be All and End All, Berlin '36, etc.

Books - Wish I read more books, but being in school and reading text books is enough for me at the moment. I have the Kite Runner to read at the moment, but other than that...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Wow! Thinking about this makes me feel as though my life is rather boring. ha. Hmm. The most exciting thing for me so far (and scary, I might add) is selling all of my stuff in Chicago and moving to London. I had a nice car, a nice apartment, nice furniture, and a settled life in Chicago... and I gave it all away to live my dream in London. I felt like if I didn't do it then, I never would. I followed my heart and it was a fantastic experience!
