ABOUT ME

We prefer learning about people at personal meeting, instead of writing that we are awesome on the Internet.

About us:

I`m 28, Jylia is 29, we are vegetarians, don`t smoke and don`t drink alcohol. We are friendly, sociable persons.
Julia speaks English and Spanish excellent, I also speak English not bad :)

About our trip:

Me and my wife Julia travel through the SouthEast Asia. We've left Russia in October 2013 and started our trip in Kerala, India. We've spent half a year in India, a month in Malaysia, two weeks in Thailand. Since the beginning of May we've been in Sumatra for almost two month, in the end of June we came to Java.

We have been volunteers in a turtle sanctuary in Malaysia. And stayed for 10 days in a Buddhist monastery in Thailand.
We suppose we should do something good for the country we stay in.

In our travelling we don´t like to hurry up. We´d rather visit few places and learn them well then visit a lot of places and see nothing but most popular sights.

Since April we travel only by hitch-hiking as you can meet so many interesting people and find lots of new friends.

We prefer staying with CSs, meeting with CSs or just any local people because it is the best way to learn the place well.
The most interesting for us in each country is its culture, its people, their life style.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We stay with CS's hosts, meet with CSs at the places we visit.
In Kuala Lumpur and we have been at the CS Friday Dinner. It was amazing! We have never seen so many awesome crazy people at the same place.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We've joined CS only in March and since then we try to stay only with couchsurfers in all the countries: in India, Malaysia, Indonesia.
All the persons we have met through CS are just amazing. From them we learn so much about the places we stay in. They all are such interesting, nice guys.
We hope when we settle in Bali some of them visit us there.

Interesses

I'm fond of everything connected with Asia, its culture, philosophy, way of life, social organisation. I like surfing and I'm going to do it seriously. I'm also fond of space, space engineering, astronomy, astrophisics and just simply starwatching :) I like mechanics, engineering from small machinery to urban development and spaceship building.

Different, depends on our mood, from classic to trance, from folk to reggae, from ethnic to hard techno.

Uma Coisa Incrível que Eu Fiz

Since the beginning of April we use only hitch-hiking for tranportation in all the countries (Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia). It is amazing! We've met a lot of new friend thanks to it:))

In Thailand we've spent 10 days in a Buddist Monastery.

In Malaysia we've stayed in a turtle sanctuary helping with cleaning the beach, watching mother-turtles' landings, releasing baby-turtles.

In 2012 we went to Spain from our city in Russia by car.
There we've spent first two nights in our car and were having shower at the beach.
On the way back we've had only musli, juice and water. All the way we were eating only this. The exception was Germany: we have spent last money for a bottle of good (but cheap as we bought it in France) cheese and wine and have had it in the car at the free parking.
All the way back we slept in our car.:)

In Turkey we've almost got lost in a gorge in Kapadokya.:))

Denis:
I don't have any teaching experience, but I can teach you riding bicycle, swimming, working in CAD programmes. I'd like to learn surfing, playing diferent musical instruments.
Julia:
I can teach you Russian and Spanish. I'd like to learn your language, also playing musical instruments.

We'd like to know everything about your place, your country, your life style and people in your country.

We'd like to try and learn how to cook local food. And we'll teach you to cook Russian food or just treat you with Russian dishes.

We would be glad to share our travelling experience with you.
