I am a Physics Ph.D. student from Brazil. Currently, I am doing part of my research in Oulu, Finland and going to stay here until February. I am the kind of person that is listening to music all the time. If you have one song that you really like, share it with me! I like to discover new songs, it's amazing how big the spectre is and how we might end up enjoying something we haven't known it existed. I love dogs. They are, in my opinion, nothing but big balls of fur filled with love. I really miss my dogs. If you like coffee, invite me for a cup of coffee or two (or three, or four...). I like to learn new techniques on how to brew a good quality coffee and really enjoy the company while drinking it. Let's meet up! =)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Since I am in Finland for a short period of time, and most part of it I am studying, I decided to apply to Couchsurfing so I could find people in places I am interested to visit. Local people tend to now some places that sometimes don't appear on TripAdvisor, and they can be very interesting.

Also, I believe that with Couchsurfing you can get to know people from around the world and you both can take advantage of it. Since you both are from completely different places (most of the times at least) you both get to enrich your knowledge about the world we live in and see how other people are doing and what their costumes are like.

Music, Movies, and Books

Everybody likes to travel and discover new places. But also, everybody misses their home at some point. It's hard to pick a unique favourite song, but, as I am feeling now, missing my home, my dogs and all the people I used to meet every day, I have to say, that right now I am nostalgic as 'Country Roads' by John Denver can be.

I love movies! Especially those non-trivial ones. My favourite movies at the moment have to be 'Predestination' and 'Interstellar' (not necessarily in that order). I recommend to everybody that want to have their mind blowed up. We would like very much to discuss them with you! =)

When it comes to books, Stephen King is my favourite. I read 'IT' before the film was released, and I got the say, the book was heavier than the movie in all senses (including the literary one hahaha).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travel from Oulu to Nordkapp and back on a weekend with my fellow Portuguese friend: Fred (great dude!). Being on the most northern point of Europe was a unique feeling. Especially when was the first time you see snow in your life and the landscapes, full of mountains, were covered by it. Simply amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

My goal is to be a physics Professor after I finish my studies. So, I think I can share somethings about physics with you.

I am interested in learning everything. Especially other languages. If we meet up, I would be glad if you could teach me some of the basics from your mother tongue. It will be awesome!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share coffee (of course!) of good quality and freshly brewed (always!). There is also food, bed, towels, and other minor stuff you may need for your stay. It will probably have a bed available as well, most of the times at least.
