About Me

I'm a 27 years old (almost 28) easy going Italian guy, sympathetic, funny, critical (in a constructive way), and full of energy.
I like to have fun with people and I always try to create a good atmosphere between me and the others, love to hang out with friends and often get lost with them in discussions.
I'm open to critics and tips and I don't think my point of view is the only one, if you show me I'm wrong, perfect, but you have to prove it.
At the moment i can't host anybody (unfortunately) cause I'm living in an university residence and apparently they don't like the idea.

Despite what a lot of people might think about Italians, we (at least me) are NOT that fancy with food. Even if I'm Italian I can eat with no problem any kind of food and drink any kind of wine (couchsurfer were sometimes impressed).

As I'm a guy I can only do one thing at the time, BUT, I generally do it pretty well.

After the high school I worked for 3 years as an alarm technician, at one point there, I figured out I was wasting my age (22 at the time) living the life of a 35 years old guy.
Everybody from my work (older then me) were telling me story about the things they were doing at my age, so at one point I decided to have my own story to tell too and I quit job to move for a year in RDC as a volunteer...one of the best experience I made.

Over there, far away from the society rules and impositions, I decided to start the university as soon as I came back. Everybody were against this decision: my job was stable, we had the stupid economic crisis, it was 4 years I wasn't studying, etc. For the people around me I couldn't come back to school like that so I graduated in biotechnology with the highest score.

After the graduation I took one year off the university life to be able to discover another bit of world...I made few little trips to get to know a bit more of Europe, and the fantastic people living there.

October 2016 I came back to the university for the master degree in Industrial Biotechnology and I had a great first year. For the second year I applied for a double degree program (erasmus-like) which allowed me to get, in addition to the Italian Industrial Biotechnology master degree, the master degree in Genetics in France.
I arrived in Paris the first September and I spent 10 months there.

Now another adventure is about to start, I'll move to UK for a 3-year PhD project. We'll see what awaits me!

I'm not afraid of changes, actually I love them! I think I have the intelligence to analyse the various situation to be able to make the right decision, and if it turns out it was a bad choice, it's all experience!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love travel, discover new places and meet new people, share life experiences....and who knows where all this will bring me..

Interests

Well guys, it may be weird to read this, I'm actually interested in knowledge...generally I like to know things..
Of course I'm more interested in some things then the other, but I think you are always in time to forget about something, but not to get to know it (hope it makes sense to you)
So my interest are about science and in particular cells, viruses...how they work and how make them do what we (I) want. I'm still in the process to get to know it, and probably there will always be something to learn.

I also like girls, sport, read and spend time with friends, even if lately I found myself not being able to find enough time to do all of this..

I made a lot of sports: swim, volley, boxe, running, climbing, judo.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listened for a lot of time Green Day, so punkrock...
I generally like music that gives energy, but it isn't the only one I listen to, classical music can be found on the list.
Anyway I'm not a great music listener, There are loads of people out there who spend much more time than me listening to music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spent a year in Congo RDC, meet beautiful people and made a really great life experience! I got to know life's reality I didn't know and this help us to open our mind, which is always good.
Now I'm spending a year in Paris for a double degree in genetics.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share with them my vitality and will "to do", and it won't be difficult we'll start laughing together after little time! I'm actually curious so i'll be probably making a lot of question, so stop me if it's too much!
Usually it doesn't take much time before i feel comfortable with people and make people feel comfortable with me.
