About Me
Coming to a city near you!
I was born and raised in Northern Virginia, USA. Fourth generation American with Japanese and South Korean ancestry. Went to undergrad at The College of William and Mary and grad school at Ball State University to study studio art. I've worked in various human rights nonprofits as a data manager in Washington, DC.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm always looking to meet new people in the community of travelers, whether it's sharing stories over a pint or hiking up a mountain range. Couchsurfing seems like one of the best ways of meeting people, creating meaningful connections forming a network of awesome individuals.
Interests
I love outdoor activities/adventure sports, particularly things that are challenging both physically and mentally. Although, I'm a pretty awful swimmer. Somebody teach me!
I've taken up blogging and photography as a means to record my travels. Now, it's really morphed into this project where I'm constantly trying to improve my output.
Of course I love food. Who doesn't? Okay, I might be a little obsessed. I've watched hours of cooking videos on YouTube. You'd think I'd be a pro chef by now. I'm not too shabby.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of the most intense experiences I've had would have to be the trapeze class I took in Washington, DC. I'm like halfway to becoming a circus clown.
Teach, Learn, Share
Let me practice teaching English to you? I'm also pretty good with computers, troubleshooting, graphic design/photo editing ... even some programming like SQL and Java.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Hey, I'm a really great listener and am always willing to lend an ear. Just call me Van Gogh. But, I have a horrible memory. Wait, what was I talking about? I'm a decent cook but at this point ... I'm a bit out of practice. If you're having computer software issues, I'm pretty good at figuring them out. I like cleaning other people's rooms ... not too much my own.
