About Me

I'm somewhat shy around people I don't know but very companionable once the formalities are done.

I have basic to good cooking skills and treat other people and their stuff with cliché like german attitude (tidyness, respect, punctuality, ...) but I can be a little out of it when it comes to my very own stuff.

My humor is pretty much boundless so avoid me if you're easily offended :-/

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I can hang out and drink myself silly with other travelers literally anywhere in the world, even at home. What I want to do when I travel is getting to know the lifestyle of the locals, what it's like to have friends there, what they're doing in their free time, what food they eat. I've had my share of beach hotels and party hostels, so where possible I would prefer to stay with the locals and actually get a breath of what it's like to live in the country I'm visiting.

Music, Movies, and Books

I prefer music from the Rock corner ... Indie, Punk, Metal etc. But as long as it's not super obnoxious (Bitch Nigger Hoe Gangsta Rap, Screamo, Noise etc.) I can go with a lot of stuff.

My favourite film has got to be Mr. Nobody. But my taste generally doesn't deviate much from the "100 films you should definitely watch" lists... I guess this should give you a good impression of my taste https://letterboxd.com/pr0pagandhi/films/by/your-rating/

I don't read as much as I'd want to but when I do it's probably classics. Not because I'm unimaginative or anything, but I genuinely enjoy the way older novels are written. I really liked Dostoyevsky's "The Idiot". I'm currently reading Nietzsche. Not because I'm some edgelord or anything, but I study Philosophy and I genuinely like what I've read from him so far.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

10 days of silent meditation in a retreat near Auckland.

Teach, Learn, Share

Critical thinking, whatever the hell you want, ideas. Am I doing this right?

What I Can Share with Hosts

I enjoy cooking. Never really thought about which of the recipes would count as traditionally german but if you don't insist that it has to be, I'll gladly prepare some Hausmannskost.

Other than that: travel stories, what it's like for me to live in Germany, polit talk and a fun japanese card game I brought.

Countries I’ve Visited

Croatia, England, France, Greece, Hungary, Netherlands, Spain, Turkey

Countries I’ve Lived In

Australia, New Zealand
