Hello, Everyone! My name is Dennis, and I'm currently living and working in the Phoenix, Arizona area, USA, actually located in the northwest suburb area of Glendale. I'm originally from Idaho!

Following completion of university study in Phoenix, I've accumulated a varied work experience background in the course of pursuing interests, ranging from publishing, to banking, to accounting, to hospitality, to accounting again, to marketing, to residential pool servicing, to on-demand consumer goods fulfillment, to K12 after school enrichment!

December 2024: I am arranging last minute travel to support a local K-12 group of Chess students who are participating in the 2024 North American Open chess tournament, being held in Las Vegas December 26 - 30. I wasn't in an earlier position financially to secure on-site accommodations at the site of the tournament, and I'm still super limited on funds, not able to secure hotel accommodations within budget.

The several families comprising the group attending the Las Vegas tournament would be well served for me to be present as representative from the organization where they've been studying and practicing Chess and other tabletop strategy games, to provide general participation support and coordination.

I can teach you some basics about Accounting, maybe help you with accounting software or spreadsheets or creating documents. I can also assist with sketching out personal budget worksheets of interest. Not sure what I might/ should populate here at the moment, getting set up, welcome your insights, new to the community! As I'm new to the community, it happens I do not know of friends or acquaintances who are also on the Couchsurfing app, or I would invite them to provide a reference for me, as I've not yet surfed at any places.

Hmm, well I have some talent for organization and troubleshooting, and asking questions to explore an idea, and I have aptitude for discussing strategy toward pursuits. Perhaps you are trying to figure out some details around launching a business idea? I'm game for a brainstorming session or helping with some organization.

I also enjoy playing board games, and I can follow a recipe in the kitchen, haha!
