About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Going on adventures, making friends, finding my way in life
ABOUT ME
After finishing Uni and traveling around the world for a bit, I feel like I still haven't fully found my way in life, so I keep searching. I am currently working as a part-time teacher/intercultural coach.
Music is very important to me, I'm always listening to some tunes. I quite enjoy yoga, hiking, swimming and cooking with and for friends. I'm a sociable and witty person and usually get along with everyone, but I also enjoy solitude on my couch from time to time. I'm a fairly honest person and generally don't mince matters.
My friends would probably dislike these description pages as much as I do, but they'd presumably say I'm excellent company, fun-loving, naive in the best way and simply a hoot :)
PHILOSOPHY
Sing until your lungs hurt. Dance until your feet hurt. Act until you're William Hurt. // Watch a sunrise at least once a day. // If you love something, set it free. Unless it's a tiger.
It's the possibility of having a dream come true that makes life interesting. //
When you can't go back, you have to worry only about the best way of moving forward. // When a person really desires something, all the universe conspires to help that person to realize his dream.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I started out a few years back and couchsurfed a lot on a year-long trip around the world. I've definitely met a lot of wonderful and fascinating people through CS. It's always been a blast!
Interests
I like yoga, playing the guitar, listening to music, binge-watching TV shows, going out for a drink or two or three or four, swimming, coffee, people watching, reading, photography, hiking on mountains and enjoying the view, driving, cooking & eating, going for a walk, making lists, sarcasm and I've recently found interest in art, though I am quite specific in what I like (especially modern art is often a mystery to me, but I'm really into surrealists like Magritte and Ernst).
It's not really a hobby, but I like to look out for bus drivers waving at each other each time one bus passes the other and I wonder if that's a thing around the world...

I love Wes Anderson and Guy Ritchie-movies and I am a sucker for TV shows (such as True Detective, Fargo, Game of Thrones, Elementary, Vikings, Sherlock, Agents of Shield, Doctor Who...). I'm also always up for 'oh dude, you have to see that clip on youtube-evenings'.
I definitely don't read enough books, which is why I'm always open to any suggestions! I'm currently catching up on some classics and books you have to have read at least once.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Too hard to narrow down! Traveled around the world for about a year, went to an amazing festival in Reykjavik a while ago and just fell in love with Iceland, was robbed by a tiny but vicious monkey in Spain, hiked on the JMT...
Teach, Learn, Share
I love learning about things, developing new skills in general, trying all kinds of food and understanding how to make a fantastic meal out of them.
I can show you some poor beatboxing skills, how to make an origami frog, how not to dance silly. I'm always happy to share some recipes and exchange music!
