I am a journalist from Dortmund, Germany. I work at a local newspaper as a reporter. After school I joined the German Navy for 8 years and got an education as an IT administrator. After an accident I thought about the future, did a reorientation and decided to study TV- and radiojournalism. I want to help people by reporting, so that they know, what’s up at their home. I am interested in people's stories.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I want to discover the world as she realy is. I think couchsurfing is the best and easiest way to get in touch with residents, the culture and the lifestyle of the country. Furthermore I think everyone should be able to experience foreign parts of the world, regardless of the money you have. I want to support this as a host.

兴趣

I’m a inquisitively person and I’m interested in almost everything. As a result of this I have a garden plot in the city, I’m member of a sports club and a representative of the foodsharing Dortmund community.
I also like to visit the theatre, the opera house and the Dortmund Philharmonic Orchestra, even if I'm not really competent in classical music ;)
If there is time left I like to do „groundhopping“, so I travel through Germany or Europe to watch soccer matches and "collect" stadiums.
On vacation I like to discover new cities and countries, the culture and of course the food.

I have no favorite music, but I must admit, that I like the music of the 80s and 90s more than the current music. Nevertheless there is no music genre I don't give a chance.

As one of the representatives of foodsharing in Dortmund/Germany I meet many people which are interested in saving food from waste. Me and my fellows do much education in how to save food, how to prepare it and how to share it. On the other hand, i also learn from them. Sharing is caring :)
During my work i learn new things every day and get to know diverse people and their passion.
