About Me
CURRENT MISSION Be a good host, travel and make friends ABOUT ME I have travelled all my life and I am now living in Indonesia and enjoying life. I have hosted with other organisations in the past and would love to do so again. I have been settled in Batam for over ten years. I’m enjoy travel, but always prefer to meet " the locals" rather than be stuck in a hotel somewhere. Batam is a great place to live and a good centre to base yourself if you want to explore. The food is wonderful and varied, the people friendly, so come and have fun! Age is no restriction as long as you are sociable and adaptable. However, I ask for at least 3 days notice of arrival, so that I can make arrangements. Moreover, please don`t arrive before 8am or after 10pm at night! Average time to and from the airport is half hour. Transport is excellent during the day but difficult to the airport early in the morning or late at night. I prefer not to host for one night only, as there is no chance to get to know my guests. 3 nights ideal, though many stay longer! Your request will be denied unless you provide the time of your arrival and departure at the airport (not just the dates) or elsewhere. Please note! If you do not provide complete information, you will get an automatic No! PHILOSOPHY It has always been " Work without thought is labour lost".
