I am a PhD student in Religion at Harvard University. I study the relationship between Christian theology and human differences (like race, gender, and sexuality). When I'm not studying, I play plenty of volleyball, and also have a growing love for contemplative practices like meditation, centering prayer, welcoming prayer, and intercessory prayer. I'm a beginner vegan and love finding ways to enrich and expand my plant-based diet. My ideal week includes plenty of time outdoors, doing something novel like exploring a new place or discovering a new activity in a familiar place, time with art, reading good books, and a healthy amount of quiet time to rest and process all of the adventures.

A very good friend of mine has been Couchsurfing for over five years now, and often speaks about it as one fo the most enriching experiences of her life. Although I've traveled quite a bit, I've never Couchsurfed, but have a desire to travel with a greater sense of connection to the communities and people who reside in the places I am visiting. Couchsurfing seems like just the way to do that!
