About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To be on a mission

ABOUT ME

The best way to travel is to get out of your comfort zone, put yourself in odd places/circumstances, that way you meet new people and see some weird stuff, learn the Slovenian for clam (školkje!) and broaden the mind, that's a bit of cliché, broaden the mind....it's true though!

I have seen enough Cathedrals, Palaces and Grand Buildings and walked down enough pedestrian streets in Europe to realise that the essence of a Town, City or Country is in it's people.

PHILOSOPHY

"If you can play the fiddle, it's you're passport to the world"

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I host when I can, and try to partake in whatever is going on in places I visit. The point is to participate yo! I might of had the Idea when I started couchsurfing that all the people I would end up hosting would be outgoing, social people, but I've had a lot of quiet and (initially) less social people too, that's fine, you don't have to be an extrovert to stay here, just participate in some way, it's a 2 way system folks after all.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I began surfing in Sofia in April 2011 and instantly made a good friend. At the Couch Surfers meeting 3 days later I met the people with whom I came to spend the most time in Sofia. It's a great Idea, awsome to the max! visited 23 states (10.2%)

Interests

Music, Traditional Irish and Metal (but of course!) I'm also interested in languages, mainly in Indo-European etymology and the connections between all the European languages. Haven't started on the rest of the world just yet.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I haven't done it yet, I know it will involve Finland, a stolen reindeer and 6 bottles of Finlandia! Which they probably don't even drink over there.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you some Irish (Gaeilge) or some music, if you have some snazzy language you can teach me some words for my mind library!
