ABOUT ME

I am fun, clean, and outgoing. I like to meet new people of all cultures. I have very stressful jobs, so I cherish my time away. I love to cook, and I really love to eat! I also enjoy good wines. I like to explore, hike, and shop! When I visit another country I am not as interested in the tourist attractions as I am in seeing what the locals like to do, and learning about the culture first-hand.

PHILOSOPHY

We are a Christian family and we enjoy people with strong values. We are not, however, prejudiced against others due to religion, nationality, or sexual orientation. We treat people with respect, and we would appreciate the same in return.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Both as a surfer, and as a host. I would like to add this about hosting: Couchsurfing is not just a free place to crash. I would appreciate at least a week's notice of a visit, and I would also appreciate an effort by my guests to get to know our family and to spend some time with us. There are a lot of people in the couchsurfing system, and I find that it is best to choose people with whom you have something in common. If staying up all night and partying is what you want to do, then it is a good idea to surf with people who have similar life styles and the same interests. We work hard, we have a nice home, and we would prefer that our guests arrive at a decent hour, and have some interest in sharing their lives with us. Remember, couchsurfing is not a hotel. You are staying in other people's homes, and that means that you don't "check-in" at midnight, get drunk, do drugs, or expect to have other friends join you to party the night away. Thanks!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couch surfing is the perfect way to travel! It's like having friends all over the world! I have met wonderful, interesting people while couchsurfing.

Interests

I love reading and traveling. I live in Wyoming, so I enjoy the outdoors, but I don't care for hunting. I really love animals, and I am active in animal causes. I grew up in Los Angeles, but I prefer small towns and country living. I am fascinated by history. I love to write.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite author is John Steinbeck, and my favorite book is East of Eden. I really enjoy reading historical fiction and the classics. I like Fitzgerald, Hemingway, Dickens, the Brontes, and many others. I love comedic films, but I don't care for the horror and gore genre. I enjoy classic rock of the 60s, 70s, and 80s, and I love jazz and classical music. I would like to learn about opera.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to cook, and I am a history buff. I not only cook traditional American cuisine, but I am also familiar with Indian cooking. I used to travel quite extensively before I became a mom, and I am looking forward to adding to that experience now that my kids are grown.
