About Me
I am currently in between jobs right now. I finished Doctorate in Engineering in Environmental Technology and Policy in Korea University. My masters is in the same field. My bachelors is in Biology major in Microbiology.

After graduating college, I worked in different fields as professor, microbiologist, Quality Assurance inspector, technical writer, and Research and Development chemist; and in different fields such as dairy industry, ketchup and sauces, cosmetics industry, homecare and laundry products, adhesives, and pharmaceutical industry. I was really working so hard to help my family, since we have a big one. I supported my sisters and brother in their education until they are finished.

I am a photographer. I love bitter gourd. Give me chocolates and we are already friends. Do or undo my tie and I will give you copies of my latest movies. I save all texts messages of my friends. I write a diary but not everyday. I have a dream log. I download photos and music a lot. I am not good in remembering names. Invite me to your house and I'll manage to go there using Google map. I am attracted to nice pearly white set of teeth. Do not leave anything on my table or I will throw it into the bin. If you intend to give me something, a pair of boxers will do. I put lotion from head to foot. I hate people who do not return borrowed books. I prefer milk to coffee before, now I prefer coffee to milk. I have a big collection of John Grisham novels. I like vegetables a lot. I am a social drinker. So show me how well you kiss. Do you want me to draw your face? I played League of Legends (until 2017) and Flyff (until 2014) a lot until 3 AM. I have written more than 252 poems. My best friends are phone, Nikon D610, Facebook and Adobe Photoshop. I am a joker. I collect teddy bears. I like chatting with intelligent people. I use photography to network.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have not used this app before. But I heard from my friend that he met some people using this. Back in the days before cellphone apps are cool and there was still no Internet, I would sleepover in my friends' houses in the Philippines. That way, I can see how other people live; and learn from them. People share their lives with other travelers, as if sharing a nest for some lost birds in migration. It is just a way of people doing what is best for other people who need a temporary shelter.

It is nice that this app have the same idea. I decided to start using this so whenever I travel, I could find some people where I can make friends with and share a piece of my life. This is also one way of encouraging myself to travel. I like travelling but always busy and I always think about expenses. Right now, I still cannot host. But soon enough, I will be able to do the same thing in the future and host other travelers just the same.

I love reading books, writing poetry, drawing and painting. Someday, if I become successful, I will reach out to help the poor and less fortunate people.

I want to be a good model to my Country. I want to share my knowledge and inspire other people—motivate them. Bob Dylan said that, “A man is a success if he gets up in the morning and gets to bed at night, and in between he does what he wants to do.” I agree to that. And success for me is also learning to touch other people’s lives—everyday.

Memories:
When I was in third grade my favorite cartoon were Knights of the Magical Light, He-man, She-ra, Rainbow Brite, My Little Pony and Friends, and Transformers. We rent Beta tapes of Transformers in Meycauyan Bulacan every night.
Everyday in Bulacan, I drink Nestlé Chocolait. I always wonder how come the place is so peaceful at dawn and only a few tricycles can be found down the road. In early June 2k+2, they changed the name to Nestlé Chocolate Drink.
It's my first time to ride the LRT when we went to Bulacan. And during those times, it wasn’t that crowded yet.
I always watch Okay Ka Fairy Ko every Thursday night and Ora Engkantada every Saturday eve. In Bulacan, we stayed in an Electronic Shop where I could watch all my favorite TV shows all at the same time.
Being thrown away from a tricycle in EKB Heights. I fell out from a tricycle when I was in senior high and I rolled on the pavement. I was not thinking about myself if I got hurt but if anyone saw me in that humiliating event.
My favorite album when I was young was Top of the Pops II with the songs Sad Movies, Wild Flower, One Day in Your Life, The Rain, Rain is Falling, Me Without You, Tell Me Why, We Love the Sound of Beethoven, We Kill the World, 60's slow, Let's Groove, Ending of Love, Endless Love and All I Have to Do is Dream. I still have that tape which I play and sing along.
When I was in sixth grade, I had this crush who told a lot of people that I was just a "panakip butas lang." It’s just that whenever I have a crush with someone, she doesn’t like me; but if she sooner find out she does, I would then be the one who wouldn’t like her.
When we were in fifth grade, my classmates and I would pretend to be superheros like Bioman. We had this big yellow boomerang, which we throw away. I was Red One.
I remember playing Patintero with my grade school classmates. I always get angry with them whenever they make a mistake. Perhaps, I easily get angry then that I didn’t even think of how cruel am I to hurt their feelings just like that. I also remember playing Jack ‘n Stones, jumping rope and a card game called Super Trump.
During my first year in high school, the stair in one room was very slippery and I didn't know that. I slipped and fell all the way down. Ouch!
I took a bath summer of 1998 seven times and brushed my teeth eight times on 24 December 2k.
I liked Mighty Mouse once, and all the while I thought it’s a very good cartoon.
I bought a couple of huge green mugs and gave one to Oca, my college roommate for Christmas. We make iced tea for the two of us sharing in one mug. Our favorite flavor is Nestea Peach Iced Tea.
I mistakenly thought that the name of the camper being introduced to me was Benedict, when it was Venite.
Having a dinner out with the brethren on Kuya Bai's birthday.
Walking along with Sam, who told me he hated me once just because he wanted to say something that was the same with what I said during Kuya Bai’s birthday.
Finishing the Pelican Brief on 24 February 2k+2, 10:10 am. Kuya Arbet lend me that novel and it was the very first time that I got interested with reading a serious novel. Actually, I already finished Harry Potter 2 but I thought that the Pelican Brief wasn’t that much interesting like Harry Potter.
Registration in UPLB with Tatay. We had no sense of direction. It took us a long time before we arrived to Baker Hall. And we were even catching passenger vehicles going in the wrong direction. How could they ever stop by us!
Goin' to Walter Mart to meet up with Virgilio who eventually went to EK.
Eating halo-halo in Chow King with Anna and Louell. That day, I spent the night in Pagsanjan. We were following-up our requests of Transcript of Records and Certification of Graduation. That was one moment after the graduation that I miss a lot. Anna doesn’t even send me a short message nowadays (30 July 2k+2). But she’s one good friend I will never forget; together with Marris, Alvin, Rommel, Derek, Julie, Carol. Sigh! I even remember strolling along Animal Husbandry with them after our class in Dairy Science 135.
When I was in first year college, I hang together with Christine and Sanvin. Christine even had this newly bought Backstreet Boys album and I love as Long as You Love Me so much. We bought half a dozen of Melon Ice Cream in DTRI and ate it in their dormitory’s (La Ville) cafeteria. It was so great and we almost burst.
Praying for the revival camp In the Grip of Grace. I always find it a great and special opportunity to serve God that manner. You see, you are not only communicating with God but also with the hearts of the people in the camp.
Eating luncheon with Sir Gene Navera at McDo. We had serious talks about homosexuality and choice. He became a good teacher and friend and he was amazed with me as his student. I like the way he taught us, he’s a good teacher.
As a requirement in Mycology, we were tasked to collect fungal samples. Although it’s forbidden to get them in Botanical Garden, we insisted that it’s the only place where we could find many. Marristein Joy Tec and I went to UPLB Botanical Garden to collect. I even remember putting formaline and button mushrooms fresh from the can in our room. Eventually, some formaline spilled and it smelled. It really was intoxicating. I just found out that it was the cause when Johnsen mentioned it to me. Sorry!
Watching Married with Children and Bikini Open late at night on my lola’s very old television set. I never failed to miss even one episode.
Brisk walking in Baguio city with Jogi. We went to Baguio at night that I didn’t even appreciate the view. I didn’t have enough money because I didn’t beg for from Mama. Jogi bought bonnet so I also bought one for me. I bought Princess a souvenir despite my lack of money. It left me just exactly for my food and fare going home. There were really much to buy yet I just became contented looking at them. The special cassava cake I bought and placed inside my locker became infested with ants. I hate it. I was planning to bring that home. But everything that happened during that trip was so exciting. I hate because most pictures with Jogi wasn’t developed.
The blinking light over the altar which marveled me for a long time was ultimately removed. It was a bulb that resembled the light of a candle.
Playing Power Rangers in a Game Gear with Nig during class hours. Nig would always bring her Game Gear with her. It takes much time because I get hold of it since everyone was in line to borrow. Maybe much of the time we spent for playing was during December awaiting for Christmas vacation when we didn’t have much to do. I remember being with her most often.
Nig and I were best friends then. I always sit beside her or exchange sitting arrangements with one of her seatmates just for us to have conversations. Everyday wasn’t complete without us telling each other stories about the plans of our animé. It was fun to have insights, and visions as well, about those fantasies.
Talking about Dragonball Z with Bernadeth. I didn’t know that there are many who also watch DragonBall.
Talking with Christian over the phone for a long time only to find out I was the one who dialed. I hate it because that time, I had only fifty pesos and I had promised to spend it little by little. So that’s the reason why he told me I’m nice. Hmmm.
Waiting for passenger jeepneys in Biñan bayan when I could always catch one in the highway. I always experience the smell of the wet market and the people there. Someone it was still an unforgettable and good experience for me. Just like waiting for buses in Alabang. Sometimes I found it hard to catch one and it takes hours. That’s how much patience I get when I went to college thinking that it’s in Los Baños, Laguna which was a three-hour ride from Cavite. And the fact of the matter is that I always carry a huge heavy baggage with my laundry.
Doing grocery at Acer on Sunday eves or Monday afternoons. You see, I always see to it I have enough Lucky Me Pancit Canton, Bear Brand, Tang Juice, 555 Sardines, Joy Bathroon Tissue, Colgate, Wafers, Johnson and Johnson Pure Essential Bath Soap, Kiwi Shoe Shine, Pantene Pro-V Shampoo, Creamsilk Black Hair Conditioner, Graham Crackers, and a Popsicle stick.
