Resumen
Sobre mí
I'm a nature-loving, outdoorsy guy who loves being active. My faves right now are pool and open water swimming, weight training , running, and walking. I need regular exposure to Nature, especially wild places, and by working in my garden at my home to increase the species of food, herb, and flower plants.
I get huge enjoyment learning about this incredible world we live in and sharing this knowledge with others if they are open to it!
Permaculture, plant-based nutrition, veganism, Buddhist thinking, alternative economics, rainforests, and conservation of our planet's natural resources are all topics I think about daily.
Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing
I was in Ecuador for the first time in Sep/Oct 2017 and was able to experience the country in a more authentic way through Couchsurfing. I was extremely grateful for this as I got to spend time with two Ecuadorians from different walks of life. I am generally a reserved and private person but do enjoy positive interaction with interesting people.

Algo increíble que he hecho
I built three magazines from scratch, and was grateful that they touched the lives of thousands. This all took years of dedication and hard work but I think it was worth it.
Another highlight of my life so far: in 2011 I ran a 100 mile stage race in the Himalayas, and won it, at age 44. That made me realise that if we prepare well, train hard, and believe in ourselves, we can do AMAZING things!

My experiences in my life so far, which include being in the South African military for two years (1985/86) after being drafted.
The law of cause and effect and many examples in my life.
Nutrition advice based on extensive reading and research.
Ways to maximise fitness, health and longevity.
Run training advice, especially for trail running.
My current passion is training for freediving. At the moment I’m just doing pool sessions and then only short intervals (25m). My ultimate goal is to do vertical line sessions in the ocean with suitably experienced freedivers.
