Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Well, I really like my hometown, which is a great fact for everyone who wants to meet up with me. I just have to spread this enthusiasm for Aachen (if I'm telling you to much facts about it please stop me). But even though it's quite a nice place I got the funny idea to visit every country on our planet. I like the idea of taking a piece of my hometown everywhere I go and take back a piece of the places I visited.
Since I'm 16 I enjoyed so called alternative travelling. My hollidays were mostly low budget and so I stayed many times at places where I knew someone. In these years couches were highly appreciated sleeping-places. It is surprising that I haven't heard of CouchSurfing till I was 21 but well that's how life goes. So a bunch of great guys from Utah let me use their couch in Queenstown (NZ) even though I wasn't a CouchSurfing member and this was one of the best weeks in my 9 month New Zealand. Afterwards I was heading for Fiji. It was planned that I arrive with a freind of mine but my flight was canceled and I came to Nadi a day later. I checked my E-Mail but he hadn't written where he was staying. Confused I ran into a touristinformation and they allowed me to call my friend but I couldn't reach him. So the guy there asked me if I want to do couchsurfing and I really needed a break so I agreed even though a bit sceptical. As I arrived at the place I felt so welcome and I got so much hepl for finding my friend, what also worked. After that I had the strange feeling that absolutly nothing bad can happen any more and what shall I say it was a great time ...
Interests
I am very much into hiking, because you really got the time to actually be in a place and enjoy it to the fullest. Well, and I am a bad cook but a great kitchen aid, so if you can cook some of your local food, I will help as good as I can.

Music, Movies, and Books
That's a hard one ...
I listen to the most genres of music but surprisingly few things from the charts or radio. I need melody or good lyrics or both things togethere would be awesome. The rest is depending on my personal mood, the weather, the place or the people who are with me.
I just love movies, excapt horror movies. Movie addaptations of comics are a huge part in my own collection and Watchmen is definitely my favourite film.
Since i have to read a lot of stuff for university i do not read as much as i used to. But just to mention my favourite book: Erich Kästner - Fabian.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I hiked the Saint Jacobs Path through Spain. About 1000km by foot and I want to do it again. Best experience so far in my life!
Oh, and i jumped out of a flying airplane once.
Teach, Learn, Share
As far as people told me, I am a good teacher in the subject "How to be relaxed". But I am always willing to share my knowledge with anyone that is interested.
What I Can Share with Hosts
