Hello!

My name is Derek :) I am a world traveler and citizen, not defined by governing lines. I have been so fortunate to meet amazing friends from all over and wish to meet other beautiful souls yet to be friends. Beauty does not last, and that’s the beauty of it.

I am a very generous, kind, sensitive, gentle, strong, determined, flexible, chill, and a go with the flow person. :)

I intend to explore and meet like-minded gentle/strong positive spirits that are on the road to their higher self.

Passions: Art (all forms), culture, travel, enjoying the simplicities of life, great conversation, cycling, photography, gold-smithing, design, self-awareness, and the higher self, consciousness, meditation, nature, charitable works and youth education.

I am new to Couchsurfing, with that in mind I want you to know that I am very capable and am not looking for a free place due to monetary constraints as that is not the case. I am looking to share a beautiful experience, have great conversation, and enjoy what little time we have left on this gorgeous planet. If it so happens we both decide to share time together, I wholeheartedly welcome it.

I love all world music. Opera, Classical, Spanish Classical, Contemporary Classical, Medicina Musica, Folk, Soul Blues, African Blues, Baroque, Ambient, Hip-Hop/Rap, Latin Jazz, Smooth Jazz, Flamenco, New Age, R&B/Soul, Indie Rock, Indie Folk, World Spiritual, Alternative, 90’s, Rock.

I enjoy movies pre-1970’s quite a lot. Ben-Hur 1959, any movie with Humphrey Bogart, Lawrence of Arabia, Citizen Kane, Psycho 1960, Apocalypse Now, Raiders of the Lost Ark movies, Jurassic Park movies, Harry Potter movies, Lord of the Rings movies, Midnight Cowboy, Last Samurai, Seven Samurai 1954, Fargo, Pulp Fiction and The Fifth Element.

I read a wide variety of things. Environmental, Psychology, Fantasy, Science Fiction, Self Healing, Metaphysics.

I can help with English if you so decide. Photography, goldsmithing, design, many types of art creation (metal smithing, woodworking, painting, drawing, mixed media). Environmental and business graduate, have attended many Universities. Have knowledge in technology and Fortune 500 selling concepts. Renewable energies. Logistics and negotiation. Have taught a variety of subjects, English as a second language, ecology and sustainability.

I can explain my story on the road to a higher self. I love all things health related.
