About Me

A consummate learner with a life of tutoring, coaching, trainer, facilitating, teaching and learning-especially foreign languages, culture, and cuisine.

Foodie, like foreign dramas like most of Oscar winning Pedro Almodar's films!

I'm a direct communicator and I always intend to provide information to be of service and help. I love to meet people and welcome them to my hometown of Salt Lake City and ensure that each also knows I value their diverse background and contributions.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love the amazingly kind and friendly people I meet when I travel (35 countries so far) and the rich cultures, cuisine, music, and dance I experience and advocating Mark Twain's quote, "Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness." I have a facebook page, Instagram account, and YouTube channel, "Conquer Prejudice via Travel."

I usually use Airbnb or VRBO and have not used Couchsurfing yet. I am signing up today because I was delayed by TSA and missed my return flight to Salt Lake City. Frontier would not rebook me until the same fare flight on Wednesday night (48 hours later) and I am out of funds until my direct deposit that will not arrive until about 4:00 am on Wednesday morning.

Music, Movies, and Books

Victor Hugo's, "Les Miserables," is my favorite book. I enjoy theater (lived in NYC for two years) and opera, Andra Day, Luiz Miguel, and Matt Goss is my latest favorite after experiencing his amazing show on Sunday night.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was a "Participating Spectator" at the 1996 Olympic Summer Games in Atlanta including the Opening and Closing Ceremonies, and obtained autographs from athletes representing 125 of the 199 attending countries.
