Hi,

I have currently been traveling for 3 years (I don't host as I don't have a home). I love wildlife and currently do odd biological jobs and have a passion for wildlife photography. I have an obsession with reptiles and amphibians. Prior to my traveling, I used to have one of the largest gecko collection in the world. However, I gave it up to pursue graduate school and see the world. Now I get to see the wildlife in their environment.

I am making a book documenting sofas from around the world…just kidding:

1. It's nice to meet new people and hear their stories and get some tips on the local area.
2. Hotels are rather isolating I find and so I just figure I would expand my horizons and hopefully open myself up to meeting some cool people. Also I'd rather spend the money I would spend on a hotel and take my host out to dinner, a museum or someplace cool!
3. Have a good time
4. Eventually, when I get my own place again, I want to give back to future travelers since so many people have helped me on my travels. Plus continue getting to meet cool people and have interesting dinner conversations!

Wildlife, Conservation, Reptiles, Amphibians, Cycling, Skydiving, Scuba Diving....but I love learning new things!!

Coldplay, Bruce Springsteen, Enya, Josh Groban, John Legend, Adele, Rihanna, etc. Not very picky

Movies:
Documentary, action movies, comedies, thrillers. Also a fan of some TV series (Breaking bad, How I Met Your Mother, House of Cards, etc.)

I can also quote pretty much any episode of South Park.

Books:
Just got done reading the Kite Flyer and You Before Me. Reading Collapse by Jared Diamond now. Always listening to some audiobook.

-Deepwater night dive off of Kona, Hawaii
-Tracked lions and elephants on foot in South Africa
-Jumped out of a lot of planes
-Jumped onto a 3 meter crocodile (granted there were 3 other crazy guys behind me helping)
-Got spat in the face by a spitting cobra
-Bred over 100 species of reptiles
