About Me

CURRENT MISSION

get home slowly, ski in the winter

I graduated from university in 2011 with a degree in Bioresource Engineering and would like to help create renewable liquid biofuels. I enjoy the outdoors and being physically active, so travelling by bicycle is immensely rewarding for me. My travels so far have been a half calculated plan and half just showing up and seeing what happens. I try to move with the natural flow of events and keep my goals simple. I have a remarkable ability to travel cheaply and find sleeping places.

PHILOSOPHY
The rules of nature are universal and cannot be broken, one can only break themself against these rules. I belong to nature, it does not belong to me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have yet to actually stay with anyone on couchsurfing but I have stayed with a lot of people on warmshowers when I rode across America. I'm on couchsurfing because my method of travel has changed from a bicycle to a car, but I still like hanging out with people in different places and I feel the couchsurfing community might be good for meeting people in new places.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have been traveling since July 2013 and have lived outside for most of it. My parents joke that I'm just homeless, but I have a tent and a bike so I'm really a proud mobile-home owner :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I am always trying to educate myself on something so I know a lot about various subjects, and I usually interpret what I know from a scientific perspective. I am always open to share what I know and listen to understand what you know. Honestly, sharing is just the best way to learn and enjoy life.

I really need to learn how to maintain my knife edge.
