About Me

A 24 year old Germanistik/Anthropology Student, Singapore born, Texas raised.

Some call me honest, most call me smartsy, a good few call me damn humourous; my mother calls me sunshine. I video games, but have been know to D&D. I read many books, and many more webcomics, and continually make jokes that are not understood without context.

I also hike and punch things and wrestle and race, especially when with people I know. I'm quite good at these things, and am also pretty okay at writing and thinking.

I'm big on walking to places and music, though I have been known to bike hard and well.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Having recently graduated, I'm off to partake in a summer field school and could use some help traveling Europe in July, and Canada in August, in both cases West to East. I'm also dropping by grandma's house along the way, up in Mainz.

Music, Movies, and Books

Planescape: Torment is a damn good game. Very thinky. Much word.

Samedi the Deafness is one of my first loves of the written word, as it taught me how lying works in narrative.

Movie wise, the Great Beauty was my first italian movie, and did the whole: asshole realizing he's an asshole very well and damn artfully.

Music wise? Penguin Cafe Orchestra, Rick Scott, Owen Pallett, Typhoon. Many reasons, ever shifting. I like songs that go ping, and twang, but not pang, is how I've described it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once directed a hoard of people to retrieve a couch from the woods, and then to throw that same couch into a dumpster, off a cliff.
