CURRENT MISSION

I am currently on an around the world trip with my brother. Our mission is to experience different cultures and learn different perspectives. So far we have had a great experience meeting really great people all over the world.

ABOUT ME

I'm a calm and laid back guy. I spent most of my life working to become successful, but after a few years working 80 hour weeks I decided I need a change of pace. My soul is more attuned to adventure than a full-time deskjob. I have spent time as a fire fighter, medic, divemaster and yacht deckhand. I am now full-time exploring the world and enjoying every minute of it.

I love pretty much everything outdoors, great conversations, learning about cultures, perspectives, politics and ideas how we can create a better world.

PHILOSOPHY

Live and love everyday to the fullest. Yesterday doesn't already happen and you don't know if you have tomorrow, so the only thing you truelly have is this moment. We all get to choose what we do with it.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I really love couchsurfing. I started out as a host in Denver, but now I have been mainly a surfer. I think it is an amazing way to travel. It really gives you a great opportunity to meet locals and get a more intimate experience in a place and a people. Helping others and the community is also a core value of mine so the type of people in this community really share my values. I quote another couchsurfer "If we had to pick people to start a new world, the people of couchsurfing would be a great start.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Wow, I've had such a great experience. Couchsurfing is like living in a world that believes in community, sharing and treating all humans as equally valuable and important. What a great concept to experience the world by meeting people when we are told everyday by our media that we should lock our doors and be very scared of strangers.

Interests

Everything outdoors - climbing, running, biking, hiking, swimming, rafting, surfing and sometimes just laying on the ground to stare at the amazing sky.

I am also very interested in listening, learning and understanding people, politics and great ideas.
