ABOUT ME

I recently quit my job of two and half years to backpack around the world. I am just beginning my journey and do not know what to expect, but I'm sure it will be rewarding. My travel site is www.1earthavenue.com. Please check it out!

I love to travel and I love the outdoors. While I consider myself a "city guy" because I like the energy, activities, and people that accompany big cities, I also try to escape to nature as much as I can via kayaking, hiking, camping, etc...and I live for a thrill.

I enjoy meeting new people and learning about their stories. I am an extravert that cannot stand to be alone for too long. I am too quick to start a conversation about economics, politics, or business, as I find most people do not share in my enthusiasm. However, I do like a conversation that gets beyond the normal pleasantries.

I am guilty of an addiction to The Office (American version...just getting into the British version), Arrested Development, and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and I am a committed fan of the Indianapolis Colts. I love watching a good movie.

I enjoy photography and am trying to master my new DSLR at the moment. While nature scenes and cityscapes have been my comfort zones thus far, I really love photographing people in their natural environment and hope to do much more of that on my current trip around the world.

Basically, I am trying to live life to the fullest while I have the chance, and I am always striving to add value to the lives of the people I come in contact with.
